About The Event
November signifies a time of transition and change as Autumn comes to an end and we move into Winter. Shorter days and cooler temperatures highlight this shift and it gives us an opportunity for introspection and preparation for the colder months ahead.
Join us and retreat to the beautiful grounds of Ballymaloe where we will embrace this time of slowing down and explore self-care practices which you can implement into your routine during the Winter months. This day retreat is open to all levels, whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner - everybody is welcome.

*Myofascial release (MFR) is a self-applied therapeutic technique that targets the fascia which is a connective tissue surrounding muscles and organs. The fascia can become tight and restricted from overuse, trauma, inflammation or inactivity. MFR aims to release these restrictions and improving pain relief, flexibility, circulation and relaxation.
**Yin Yoga is a floor based, slow-paced and passive style of yoga that involves holding poses for 3-5 minutes. These long holds place a gentle, sustained stress on the connective tissues which temporarily reduce blood flow to the targeted area. When you release the pose, fresh blood flows into these areas, bringing oxygen and nutrients, which can help overall joint health & tissue repair.
***Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep. In effect, you use your senses as a microscope, exploring, listening and welcoming every aspect of the body and breath. This practice leads the body and mind into a deep state of relaxation.
